Late Sea Runner: bonus!

I managed to get out for a fish last night and due to time limits I decided to head for the Mersey at Latrobe. There were plenty of fish moving but I thought that the sea runners would have moved on by now. So I put on a Red Fin wobbler and flicked it around for a while. It wasn’t too long and I had a nice fish on but in the fight I got snagged and lost the fish and lure. I put on another Red Fin and fish another area before moving back to where I lost the fish and first cast, bang! I was on. I was fortunate enough to land a nice sea runner just under 2lb. This fish had the colourisation simular to a Salmon, slightly greenish-blue and the scales came off easily. I lost another fish before loosing another lure and deciding to head home. All in all, a bonus!

Andrew sneaks into the lead….

My last trip to Arthurs for the year has resulted in me taking the lead, by one! Things will get more difficult for me from here on in due to family commitments, so winning the GTA is unlikely. But this years comp has already produced some interesting moments, so as we head into the Summer session the pressure heats up as the fishing becomes potentially more difficult and each trout really counts.
